Harriet Miers finally withdraws her own name. This is a blessing for Miers, the Administration and conservatives at large. Now President Bush needs to make good on his promise of appointing someone who has a proven track record as a strict constructionist, someone in the mold of Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas.
